President Duma Gideon Boko of the Republic of Botswana and his accompanying delegation visited Sohar Port and Freezone as part of a working visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
The visiting President and his delegation were briefed on the integrated system of the port and the freezone, which serves as a strategic destination linking businesses with regional and global markets. The complex benefits from its strategic location, advanced infrastructure, and modern logistics services.
During the visit, he also received a detailed presentation on the efficiency of operational processes and the competitive advantages that strengthen Sohar Port and Freezone's position as a reliable and sustainable industrial and logistics location.
The visit included a tour of several key investment projects, most notably the United Solar Polysilicon manufacturing project and the Orion Solar project, which specializes in the production of solar cells and panels.
The President was accompanied during the visit by Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority, Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, and several officials.
