On November 18, 2024, our company held a grand celebration to mark the 54th National Day of Oman.

The event, themed “Cultural Integration,” beautifully blended rich traditional cultural elements with the modern spirit of our enterprise. It showcased Oman’s profound cultural heritage and unique charm while reflecting United Solar’s respect for and embrace of cultural diversity as a global company. The celebration also reaffirmed our commitment to fostering unity and collaboration among employees.

Oman’s National Day: A Legacy of History and Culture

Oman’s National Day carries the weight of the nation’s deep historical and cultural legacy. Since the late Sultan Qaboos initiated modernization reforms in 1970, Oman has found a balance between preserving traditions and embracing modernity, evolving into an open and stable nation.

In his address, Chairman Longgen Zhang reflected on this history, stating: “Oman’s National Day symbolizes national unity and progress and embodies the Omani people’s relentless pursuit of independence and prosperity. Their dedication to cultural traditions and modern development offers us invaluable inspiration. As an international company, United Solar has grown alongside the local community since establishing our facility in Oman. Throughout this journey, we’ve maintained a spirit of respect and inclusivity, which has enabled us to overcome cultural differences and workplace challenges. Omani employees have seamlessly combined local traditions with modern industrial skills, giving our company a distinctive cultural advantage.”

Chairman Zhang further emphasized: “In Chinese philosophy, the concept of ‘harmony in diversity’ aligns perfectly with Oman’s values of inclusivity and harmony. We respect and cherish Oman’s cultural traditions, integrating them into our corporate culture to create a more efficient and united team.”

Following this, Vice President Haitham shared insights from an Omani perspective: “National Day is not only a moment to celebrate our country’s achievements but also an opportunity to reflect on how we inherit and innovate our traditions. Here at United Solar, we learn from each other, respect one another, and work together. Each individual’s contribution is a vital part of this success story.”
